About Shaya

We, Divya & Akshay (couple based in Nagpur, the city famous for its hottest temperature) at Shaya Enterprises working together to grow and serve pure & organic Kashmiri Saffron using Aeroponics technology. The concept of soilless agriculture, Controlled-environment agriculture and aeroponics systems is embedded together to deliver pesticides/ fertilizers free, fresh, pure, organic & healthy Saffron & grown aeroponically.

Acquiring soilless agriculture is beneficial because it saves approximately 90% of water. Aeroponics mainly uses Vertical farming which saves investments in land and can be done in a micro space. The benefits also include product of highest quality. Besides, Farming done using Aeroponics technology is more sustainable as compared to traditional farming.

What is Aeroponics Technology

Aeroponic method increases food safety by removing sources of contamination, increasing the security of supply as it is unaffected by environmental factors especially in this global warming era. It also helps in eliminating seasonality, creating stable market pricing which is good for farmers and consumers as well. As aeroponics does not require the use of pesticides, the plants grown in aeroponic systems are healthy and thriving, leaving them less vulnerable to pest attacks. One more outstanding feature of aeroponically grown vegetables is the higher uptake of nutrients compared to conventionally grown plants. It means that aeroponic farmers can not only save a lot of money spent on fertilizer but also produce safer, healthy & organic food in a cleaner environment.

Training and Support

We are also working to spread knowledge & awareness of Saffron Cultivation and
Aeroponics technology amongst Budding Entrepreneurs & Agriculturists. Our training
& workshop module helps to understand technology and its application in growing Saffron. By this, we are not only generating Employment but also helping people generate income to run their livelihood and employ people. We also help our students to setup their own saffron farms.
